BAGHDAD, July 25 (Xinhua) -- A car bomb explosion outside an office of Sunni Arab party in the city of Fallujah on Saturday, killed four people and wounded 20 others, an Interior Ministry source said.
The attack took place around midday when a booby-trapped car parked outside the office of the Iraqi Islamic Party detonated, damaging parts of the office building and caused damages to nearby buildings, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Iraqi security forces sealed off the scene, while ambulances evacuated the victims to hospitals of the city which located some 50 km west of Baghdad, the source said.
Fallujah, the once center of Sunni Arab insurgency against the U.S. troops and Iraqi security forces, has been relatively calm for more than two years after Sunni tribes and anti-U.S. insurgent groups turned to cooperate with the U.S. troops and Iraqi security forces against al-Qaida in Iraq network.
