BAGHDAD, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Unknown gunmen attacked a money exchange office in central Baghdad on Sunday, killing three people and wounding five others, a well informed police source said.
"Unidentified armed men in three cars opened fire at the office of al-Nibal money exchanger in the Sina'a Street in Baghdad's central district of Karrada, killing three people and wounding five others," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Sporadic attacks continue in Iraqi cities despite the U.S. and Iraqi officials announced a relative lull in violence during the past months.
The attack came nearly four weeks after U.S. troops pulled out of Iraqi cities and towns in line with a security pact signed latelast year between Baghdad and Washington.
